Survey – CAD Technician

Candidates should possess:


  • College Certificate with a concentration in surveying and/or engineering or equivalent
  • Current membership with the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists


  • Developing survey plans using Micro Survey, Civil 3D or AutoCAD
  • Ensuring CAD standards and procedures are followed throughout the design process (i.e. filing, document numbering, and layering conventions for all drawings)
  • Assisting in the preparation and compilation of all data and documents related to subdivision plans, condo plans, Reference Plan, construction surveys, lot grading plans and Survey Real Property Reports
  • Familiarity with Municipal zoning by-laws


  • Ability to read and understand survey plans, architectural and engineering specifications
  • Knowledge of re-establishing property boundaries
  • Proficiency in Micro Survey, Civil 3D, MS Office
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to work within a team environment


  • At least 3 to 5 years experience in a CAD Technician role
  • at least 3 to 5 years of experience in re-establishing property boundaries
  • Field surveying knowledge and experience would be an asset
