Job Description

AGM Engineering Ltd. provides a wide range of consulting services for municipal infrastructure and land development projects including design, project management, contract administration, and inspection.  We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Civil Engineer.  Candidates should possess at least 5 years of related experience in servicing design, storm water management design, grading design, technical design reports, servicing studies, contract document preparation, and contract administration.

Qualifications: 

  • University Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer with Professional Engineers Ontario
  • Minimum 5 years experience with Municipal and Land Development Projects
  • Working Knowledge of AutoCAD 2019 and Civil 3-D
  • Working Knowledge of design software such as SWMHYMO, MIDUSS, HEC-RAS, Culvert Master, PCSWMM and WaterCAD will be considered an asset
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide Project Management for Land Development and Infrastructure Renewal Projects
  • Engagement with clients including project meeting attendance
  • Provide guidance to design team members including survey staff for topographic and legal surveys
  • Prepare Construction Cost Estimates, Forms of Tender and Special Provisions
  • Have a strong understanding of the Planning Process for Plans of Subdivision, Condominiums and Site Plan Applications
  • Prepare Servicing Reports to support Draft Plan Applications and Applications for Site Plan Approvals
  • Lot Grading Design and Certification
